MarLytics is looking for two innovative, high-performance people to join our growing team. As of March 1, 2012, we have two immediate openings as we move full steam ahead into beta and beyond. We are a one-year-old, funded, company. Our first product has tested extremely well in its niche, and we are looking to hire the best fit for our small team wherever you live.
Because we are a young company, there is plenty of opportunity for you to make a huge impact and to participate in equity from the beginning.
Current Openings
Ruby On Rails Developer:
We are looking for a RoR developer to help finish and launch our first product, LawLytics, and then help lead the way as we refine and expand our features, and scale into other verticals. Work directly with our CTO and CEO in an informal, relaxed and productive environment. Work remotely from anywhere, and, while providing a few hours of overlap with our schedules each day, set your own schedule.
Applicants should have a solid background in Ruby, RoR, Rspec, Capybara and Factory Girl. JS and JS testing knowledge/experience is a strong plus.
Location, formal education, and years of experience are not nearly as relevant as integrity, motivation and current skills.
Front-end developer:
We are seeking a strong front-end web developer to help shape our application and the websites that it creates.
You should have strong HTML 5/CSS 3 skills, be proficient at JavaScript, understand Git and GitHub, basic SEO, cross-browser compatibility, and be generally familiar with development in a MVC environment, with Ruby on Rails experience a strong plus.
You should also be proficient in Photoshop, have a good eye for design and a current portfolio that represents your skills and artistic style.
Formal education, and years of experience are not nearly as relevant as integrity, motivation, current skills and creativity. While location is not an issue, and you can work from anywhere, you will need to be able to schedule your days so that you have some overlap with our CEO’s schedule (West Coast Time) and our CTO’s schedule (East Coast Time).
You have the opportunity to shape, and set a new standard for, the way professionals see the web as part of their core business structure, as well as the chance to get in on the ground floor of an exciting startup right before it’s first product launch.

We are a SaaS company focused on innovating apps to change the way professional service firms market their businesses. We are headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, but believe in hiring the best people regardless of where they live. We live in Basecamp and on Skype, and although our team is spread between San Francisco and Florida, we enjoy the creative environment of a shared office. No matter how big we grow we pledge to say no to commutes, office politics and other creative prisons. We are well funded, and approaching the launch of our first product, LawLytics.
